Daddy Dearest

All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand
--Macbeth (Act V), Shakespeare

Things bad begun make strong themselves by ill

- -Macbeth (Act III), Shakespeare

Mr. Bush’s highest priority is always to protect himself

--Frank Rich,
A Profile in Cowardice

__________

Frank Rich's latest column on Mr. Libby (A Profile in Cowardice) refers to him as "a pathetic little fall guy."

For sure a fall guy, but he is holding all the cards. Once one card is turned up to public scrutiny, the only just conclusion would be presidential impeachment. Yet one wonders about Congressional will, for George W. Bush's overt use of the NSA to illegally wiretap is one among many impeachable offenses, and there has been no action taken there.

So maybe Libby does not matter at all, since the cards are all marked (secret prisons, extraordinary renditions,
habeas corpus violations, torture, Geneva Conventions violations, black and covert ops, etc.) and nobody has yet drawn down on the double-dealer Mr. Bush.

When will America's tolerance of this criminal behavior masquerading as leadership end?
President Bush's behavior is lawless and un-American. Wearing a flag-pin in one's lapel will not change that fact; it is simply protective coloration.

Real Americans don't need phony little pins to argue for their patriotism. It is evident by their actions.

Bush's actions shout liar, criminal and un-American.
Rich asks, "who in heaven's name will pardon Bush?"

He has got the wrong address of origin for such an individual.

__________

~~As an aside: the "Get Out of Jail Free" graphic was from a recent DCCC mail out, which included a form letter to the White House in protest of Libby's sentencing commutation. I was blocked three times from sending that protest form; my program was shut down each time.

Either the response was overwhelming, or the message was being blocked.

We have been listening to anti-Bush music all day today...downloaded from sites around the net; dancing up energy as the moon goes dark, hoping if any powers that be listen to reason and rage, that we can cosmic asskick the boy-cowboy-king into the nearest cow-patty.

He is an assault on the very concept of "America."

The flag-pin complements the yellow ribbon decal on the car...for those who missed it, check out Trip Wire's song:

If real Americans were inclined to feel patriotic, they might show it by displaying real concern for the welfare of their war vets.

kootenay,

A vain hope, to inject some reality into our ribbon-wearin', reality show-watchin' amnesiacs?

I hope not.

I've noticed that it seems people wrap themselves in the flag in the hope you won't notice whose pockets their hands are in...
