From the picture in Rep. Allen Boyd's 5/29/08 press release on his recent travels to Afghanistan and Pakistan, it looks a bit like New York City in the background, or at least Akron.

Why the brand new modern facilities if we are planning to leave? Why is Boyd in armor and not the General? The building is landscaped with planted flowers, and look at those pavers and the nice gated community effect. Does this improve our operational posture and force readiness?

Or is this another dog and pony show?
