An ASR of Words

Abuse of words has been the great instrument
of sophistry and chicanery, of party, fashion,
and division of society
--John Adams

Nothing to say but what a day,
how's your boy been.
I've got noting to say but it's O.K.

--Good Morning
, The Beatles
_____________

The Available Supply Rate (ASR) is a staff planning figure that applies to the number of mortar/artillery rounds that are available per day, per tube.

Ranger feels that words should be limited, like artillery rounds, since they are more dangerous and have a greater range and bursting radius. They should be used judiciously and to support a desired objective, or to fulfill an essential function. In short, words should be rationed.

One of
the obvious features of modern media and government is the proliferation of words of mass destruction. Words are used indiscriminately and over-abundantly.

Ranger will ration his words.

I would have to agree with Ghost, Ranger, when you take yourself out of the loop, there is a hollow echo of expected sound that isn't there.
I think you should go the Russian route...you know, the one they took at Kursk.

I'm just saying.
