Not, Like, Totally Lying

--Blow by Blow, Petar Pismestrovic
_______________

U.S. efforts in Pakistan will include recapitalization and economic efforts for Pakistani society.

Commenting on the recent meetings of senior Pakistani officials with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on NPR, George Perkovich, vice president for studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said the event showed "We have enough confidence that
Pakistan is being cooperative and not entirely duplicitous" (U.S., Pakistan Seek To Build Trust With Talks). Mmm, maybe; maybe not.

Now that is wonderful news for the Pakistanis, but when are we going to do the same for Americans?

Helping Americans? That's not going to help Exxon Mobil get oil leases in Iraq. How is that supposed to help Halliburton or KBR's profits? Corporate Welfare trumps all else these days. The little people just need to suck it up and be proud we're spreading Democracy all over the world.

I think it's because they don't have enough confidence that Americans are being cooperative to their "recapitalization"(feudal) plans.
