This pic does capture "the Audacity of Hope, Muslim-style." However, also ends up illustrating the Amer. style/version. Mike from the north country (C-town)
Hi Lisa, Agree. I find this image, & all the others connected with his demise disturbing. As an American, & a human, i'm ashamed to be associated with any of it. Also, your question, "to what end", is key. Mike from C-town
I have to hold my hand up to block the image when I comment. The night I posted it I could not sleep.
I am not naive, and know this is not the only brutality occurring in our world, but when it is imposed upon a nation's leader and people see fit to photograph themselves with the carnage, this sickens me. I wonder sometimes how many others feel this revulsion to their core.
There is no purpose and there is no end, sadly. This, too, is what it means to be human.
Mike and Lisa, yes this happens and i don't give a rats ass. My disconnect is that US bombs and stooges bombs facilitated this very predictable out come. When my tax dollars pay for an event then i am implicated. This is my horse in the race. jim
Ranger, "When my tax dollars pay for an event then i am implicated." That was my point in my 2nd comment. The 1 about being ashamed as an American. One might ask, what do i have to be ashamed of? I didn't concoct &/or participate in this no knock raid. However, it was financed by money i was coerced into paying. Hence, it was done in my name. I'm not cool with that. Then again, the powers that be don't give a rat's a$$ what i'm cool with. Mike, from somewhere on the east side of C-town
Anon, Since his murderer was never brought to trial i reckon we won't know which of us were right. I believe my representation was fair and equitable. He's got the garb and head gear on to imply his muslim status. Were any christians or jews in the frenzied crowd? Please provide your proof and i'll gladly post your data. jim

Hi Mike,
It's a hard image for me to get out of mind. How did this finish like that, and to what end (and I don't mean any pun here)?

That is a strong and shocking shot, he sure deserve it after all what he did to his people.
Why Muslim man? Why not Libyan man? Why do you presume his faith had anything with the core human emotion of revenge?
