Rumsfeld may bid farewell to the GI's in Iraq ("Rumsfeld Says Farewell to Troops"), but the soldiers will not be able to bid farewell to Iraq. Unfortunately for the soldiers, stop-loss and arbitrary extension of tours keep them tied to this bloodbath.

Rumsfeld can cut and run, but as always, the troops must stay the course.
