Boy in the Bubble

In the article, "Cheney o.k. after Afghan Blast," we are told Cheney was stranded at Bagram Air Base overnight in a snowstorm.

Our troops have to spend years in that country, while Cheney is stranded when forced to overnight there. Mr. Cheney must feel very vulnerable when he is forced to spend time away from his undisclosed location.

Asked if the Taliban were trying to send a message with the attack, Cheney said: "I think they clearly try to find ways to question the authority of the central government...But it shouldn't affect our behavior at all."

No Mr. Cheney, nothing seems to affect your behavior at all.
