He's Baaack!

From ghoulies and ghosties
And long-leggedy beasties

And things that go bump in the night,

Good Lord, deliver us!

--Traditional Scottish Prayer

Happiness is a warm gun,

Yes, it is

--Happiness is a Warm Gun
, The Beatles

Wee, sleeket, cowran, tim'rous beastie,

O, what panic's in thy breastie!

I'm truly sorry Man's
dominion
Has broken Nature's social
union

Going through his mail upon return, Ranger noted the above Bond Arms ad in his Dillon Blue Press. Aside from the obvious and absurd phallic aggression, he observes: the denizens of the Christian gun world feel that God has given them dominion over the animals, and that makes the world a free fire zone.

He says gun magazines are filled with photos of limp-dicked individuals holding up bloodied things they've just killed.
He doesn't accept a Christian's or a gunnie's right to kill indiscriminately. For example, the rattlesnake in the ad is in its normal habitat, and is not doing anything except existing. Why can't the billy bad ass with the pistol simply bypass the snake and allow it to do what snakes do? That is live and let live.

Rattlesnakes are not killed unless they are in the yard. In the woods, rattlesnakes are bypassed and avoided.

This is Ranger's concept of professional courtesy.
